Example of an ASCII Text File that the Trader Will Read

You can get a good description of how to build an ASCII text file that the Trader will read if you look in the help file index for “ASCII Data Files”. However, since a picture is worth 1000 words, we have constructed a simple example of such a file. This file is for a hypothetical company named Acme Business Products, with the ticker symbol ACM. We made it in Excel, and simply saved it as a .csv file. You can download this small file and use it as a template. Note that the first two lines are optional.
