We sometimes get intraday charts from users wanting to know why certain indicators lag behind the primary issue in an intraday chart. In other words, the primary issue seems to be several bars ahead of the indicators.
This phenomenon is often explained by the fact that the indicators are based upon other instrument data for which the user has not paid the real-time fees, i.e., the other instrument data is delayed and the primary instrument is not.
You may think this cannot happen if you have an account with Quote.com where ALL of your data is delayed. However, Quote.com does NOT delay many of their indexes, like $INDU! So if you are trying to trade off $INDU as the primary issue in your chart, then any other instrument data used in indicators should not be delayed.
