I. Obtaining program fixes
From time to time our programmers prepare new releases of the NeuroShell Trader and ChaosHunter. These releases are called “beta” releases and are releases with corrections for problems that have been fixed in the most recent commercial release. For example, we now have NeuroShell 6.1 beta 2, NeuroShell 5.8 beta 4, and ChaosHunter 2.3 beta 5 available for users.
These releases are called “beta” because they are recent and have not been used yet by our entire user base. As such there could be unknown problems with them. On the other hand, they are usually safer to use than the commercial releases they replace, because all we have done is taken the current commercial release and corrected a handful or so of problems.
We don’t always announce the availability of these incremental releases because they are available for download anytime from our Advanced users tech support website, www.ward.net. (Having said that please notice 5.8 beta 4 is discussed in a subsequent article here). You will find the incremental releases in the section called “.. Release news, Upgrade information, and beta tests”. The catch is that you must log in with the proper serial number if you have several. To get the 6.1 beta, use your release 6 serial number. To get the 5.8 beta, be sure to use a release 5 or 6 serial number. ChaosHunter requires a 2.1 serial number.

II. Seminar room deadline
If you have already signed up for our NeuroShell Trader and ChaosHunter Advanced User’s Seminar but you haven’t reserved your room yet, you should do so soon. The Pier V hotel and sister hotels with shuttles to the Pier V are not obligated to hold rooms at the Seminar price beyond February 26. Plus the hotels are filling up very quickly.
If you have not signed up for the Advanced Seminar for March 29-31, please do that soon too. It is a great opportunity to learn advanced techniques, as well as meet fellow traders using our software.

III. Release 5.8 beta
Some of our users have expressed a desire to be able to run release 5.x even after they have upgraded to release 6.0. Reasons vary, but one reason was that they wanted the ability to use NeuroShell where internet connections were not good, on an airliner for example. Release 5.8 (now available in beta) fills that need. Release 5.8 will allow you to activate it using your release 6.0 serial number and password.
CAUTION – charts and templates saved in release 6.x will not load or run in 5.8. However, charts and templates created with 5.8 will run in 6.0.
