Existing Data and Other Instrument Data Video

When you first create a chart, you’ll see a graph of the open, high, low, and close. If you want to view only the open values, you can go to the Insert menu and select Existing Data and Calculations and then select the open, which is displayed in a separate subgraph.

You may also display other data such as an Index. Go back to the Insert menu; select Other Instrument data. Select a category, then the specific index. We’ll look for the NASDAQ composite. Select the close and it’s graphed again on a separate subgraph. Now you can compare the performance of Intel against the Nasdaq composite.

When you display more than one subgraph, on a chart, you can change the height of each graph. Use the left mouse button to select the line at the bottom of a graph and move it up or down.
