I. Protect your investment in NeuroShell

For 23 years we have been bringing you free technical support on all of our artificial intelligence products. We have never charged anyone for help as many other companies do, and we do not want to start. Maintaining a staff on the phones every day is expensive, so we have to depend on a good supply of new sales to pay for that. One of the best sources of new sales is our reputation, manifested in our rating in Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine. Help us help you by voting for NeuroShell in the Readers’ Choice Awards, if you are a subscriber. Go to www.ward.net and there will be a link at the bottom that will take you to the site to vote.

1. Get your copy of a Stocks & Commodities magazine and visit www.ward.net. Scroll to the bottom where you will find a link to vote. On the Readers’ Choice Awards Ballot enter your subscriber ID from your magazine address label (look at their example to see which numbers on the label are the subscriber ID). Next enter your last name.

2. After you are logged in, look for the Standalone Analytical Software, $1000 and more category on page 2. Be sure to mark you ballot for NeuroShell Trader Professional (Ward Systems Group Inc.)

3. Do the same for the Artificial Intelligence Software (Expert, Neural) category on page 3. Look for NeuroShell Trader Professional (Ward Systems Group Inc.). THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT VOTE!

4. Also in the Artificial Intelligence Software category, we’d appreciate a second place vote for GeneHunter, the genetic algorithm optimizer that is included in NeuroShell Trader Professional.

5. Also on page 3, right before the Artificial Intelligence Software, there is a category called Software Plug-Ins. Be sure to vote for MESA for NeuroShell Trader.

II. More on the ChaosHunter IB Trader

Last month we mentioned that we are building something we now call the ChaosHunter Trader. It loads ChaosHunter model files and automatically trades them with Interactive Brokers. It will also do manual trading, and exporting of text files that can be loaded into ChaosHunter. You can also monitor ChaosHunter model signals in real time even if you do not trade them.

The unique thing about this platform is that it can trade several ChaosHunter models as a “panel of experts”. For example, it will buy when a majority of models is signaling buy. Let’s say you make 5 different models for AUD.USD. You can then load those 5 models into the platform and specify that you want to trade when 3 of the 5 are in agreement. Or 4 of the 5 are in agreement. You can have any reasonable number of models for your panel of experts. Each chart can have its own panel of experts, and several charts can be traded at once with different ticker symbols and/or different time frame bars.

All of the above means you do not have to have some other trading platform, like NeuroShell or its competitors, to gather data for ChaosHunter, and trade the resulting ChaosHunter models in real time.

ChaosHunter does not create a stop loss or a price target, since that work belongs in the trading platform. Therefore, ChaosHunter Trader provides an easy to use mechanism for those protections. After a loss stop point or price target is hit and the position is closed, the system will either stop trading that chart, or start trading again at the next opposite signal, at your choice.

ChaosHunter Trader works in conjunction with the IB Trader Workstation (TWS) meaning in addition to ChaosHunter Trader, you also have the facilities of TWS always available.

Open, high, low and close values can be formed by trades, midpoint, bid or ask streams that are sent by Interactive Brokers.

There are a few limitations. ChaosHunter Trader can only trade models using the data it collects from Interactive Brokers. This means that other than open, high, low, close and volume, the only indicators it can use for trading are the ones created by ChaosHunter itself. ChaosHunter Trader only places market orders, and does not use stop and limit orders for its stop loss and price target activities. Also, it can only load and trade with the following bar types/sizes:

daily bars
hour bars (1 or 4 hours)
minute bars (1, 2, 3, 5, 15, or 30 minutes)
second bars (5, 15, or 30 seconds)

ChaosHunter Trader can trade stocks, futures and cash (Forex). It doesn’t trade options or option futures.

ChaosHunter Trader will begin selling on February 1, 2012 for $895.

III. Commentary by Steve Ward, CEO

1. Last chance to help us. A few of you haven’t voted yet in the Readers’ Choice Awards for TASC magazine. Please go do it now, because with the holiday season coming on you might forget. I’d appreciate it.

2. Early Bird Special. Beginning January 15, 2012 we will start selling ChaosHunter Trader with a special price for those who take delivery of the first releases prior to the official release date and who were an owner of record of ChaosHunter as of December 31, 2011. The Early Bird price is $625, and there will be absolutely no exceptions to the ChaosHunter owner of record requirement.

3. We’re having a Scrooge Sale on our websites at various times during the holiday season, primarily for new users. For you existing users we will include any of the Ward Systems Group created add-ons in that sale, as well as upgrades to Power User versions. (But the website will not say that – it is just between us!)
