Recommendation: a book that does an excellent job discussing intermarket relationships is by John J. Murphy entitled Intermarket Technical Analysis, Trading Strategies for the Global Stock, Bond, Commodity, and Currency Markets.
The book is primarily about the interrelationships between the markets and how movements in one market affects the other(s). It is easy to read.
