Order E-mailer Video

 

You need to enter your personalized E-mail account settings in the Order Emailer the first time you use the program.

  1. Select Order Emailer from Tools menu, Options, Trading Orders tab
    Check Send orders to brokerage and select Order Emailer from the Brokerage drop-down list.

  2. Open a chart with a Trading Strategy and Alerts/Orders Window
    Set up active trading on the chart by opening the Alerts/Orders Window from the Trader’s View menu and select the Trading Strategy that you wish to actively trade from the list.

  3. Click on Order Emailer Icon
    This icon should appear at the bottom of the screen as soon as you select a Trading Strategy in the Alerts and Orders Window. Click on the icon and the Order Emailer program will begin.

  4. Click on E-mail Setup button

  1. If E-mail account is on the same computer as the Trader, click on the Search Accounts button to automatically import the user and server information. If you have more than one E-mail account, select one to send trades.

  2. If E-mail is not installed on your computer, either use a template or manually enter the account information. The templates to fill in port and server settings for popular E-mail programs. Click on the select mail server template drop down box and choose your E-mail service. The template will fill in the server name, server port, SSL settings, and authentication options. All you have to enter is your account name and password.

  3. Add Recipient’s E-mail Address to the List
    Once you have entered your E-mail account settings, you need to add at least one E-mail address to the list of recipients. To add an E-mail address, simply press the Add New button and type in the desired E-mail address. After you’re finished adding addresses, press OK, and the E-mail address(s) will be added to the list.

  4. Test the Account
    It is strongly recommended that you verify your settings by clicking on the Send Test E-mail button. If everything works correctly, the status line at the bottom of the box will report “Message sent successfully.” If the message fails, the status line will read “Can’t send message: check your E-mail settings.”
