I. Protect your investment in NeuroShell
The polls are still open for the TASC 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards. If you haven’t cast your vote yet, we’d really like to have it. Help us protect your investment in NeuroShell by keeping the new buyers coming. That way we can keep bringing you the help and support most of you have enjoyed through the years.
Here’s how you cast a vote:
1. Get your copy of the Stocks & Commodities magazine and visit www.Traders.com (any issue will do; it doesn’t have to be the November one). Look on the left side of the web site for the 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards and click on the Vote Now! link. On the page that is displayed enter your subscriber ID from your magazine address label (look at their example to see which numbers on the label are the subscriber ID).
2. After you are logged in, look for the Standalone Analytical Software, $1000 and more category on page 2. Be sure to mark you ballot for NeuroShell Trader Professional (Ward Systems Group Inc.)
3. Do the same for the Artificial Intelligence Software (Expert, Neural) category on page 3. Look for NeuroShell Trader Professional (Ward Systems Group Inc.).
4. Also in the Artificial Intelligence Software category, we’d appreciate a second place vote for GeneHunter, the genetic algorithm optimizer that is included in NeuroShell Trader Professional.
The staff at Ward Systems Group Inc. extends a very heartfelt thanks to all of you who take the time to vote before the December 31, 2009 deadline.

II. NeuroShell Trader Advanced Seminar with ChaosHunter
The NeuroShell Trader Advanced Seminar with ChaosHunter is scheduled for February 23-25, 2010. The 2010 NeuroShell Trader Advanced Seminar promises to deliver value for the money in several significant ways: Content, Reasonably Priced Seminar Fee and Accommodations, and interaction with other NeuroShell Trader users.
1. Content
The seminar will open up new insights into your trading techniques, even for the most experienced NeuroShell Trader users. We’re still covering the basics such as how neural networks and genetic algorithm optimization work, but we’re adding material on how to set up pairs trading in both NeuroShell Trader and ChaosHunter. We’re teaching the power lifting indicators from Advanced Indicator Set 3 and how to use your ChaosHunter models in NeuroShell Trader. We’ll show you how to combine neural networks with trading strategies in several different ways. We’ll also answer your questions, both during the seminar and in the informal workshops.
2. Seminar Fee, Accommodations, and Transportation
We’ve kept the price at $1595 ($100 less than in 2008). If you sign up before December 31, 2009, we’ll take an additional $100 off. The seminar fee includes lunches and breaks during the seminar. We’ve worked out a special group rate of $129 a night (plus tax and fees) with the Pier 5 Hotel, which is located at the center of Baltimore’s famous Inner Harbor. The closest airport is Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Because of the central location of the Pier 5 Hotel, you can easily take the Super Shuttle from BWI Airport at a cost of about $20 and that means you can skip the hassle of renting a car. You may also take an AMTRAK train to Penn Station (BAL) located at 1515 N. Charles Street. Penn Station is about a mile and a half north of downtown and the Inner Harbor.
3. Interaction with Other Seminar Attendees
There’s one benefit that we can’t put a price on, and that is the chance to interact with other NeuroShell Trader users. One of the most consistent comments we receive after the seminar is that attendees enjoyed meeting other NeuroShell Trader users.

III. Office closure
Ward Systems Group will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, November 25-27, so that our staff can celebrate the Thanksgiving holidays with their families across the country.

IV. New Order Emailer
We have released a new and much improved Order Emailer for use with the automated trading features in the NeuroShell Trader. It sends orders to emails of your choice, which is great if you want to share your signals with someone. You can download this new Order Emailer from www.ward.net in the section called “Release news, upgrade information and beta tests”. (Later it will be added to new releases.)
While the original Order Emailer required the use of Outlook Express, the new Order Emailer does not require ANY email software to be installed on your computer. It also works with many popular web based email services like GMail, Yahoo, MSN and Hotmail.
We highly recommend that you read through the help file that is installed with the new Order Emailer before implementing it. You can find it in the NeuroShell Trader 5 Program Group in your Windows Start Menu after it is installed.
Also, please be aware that the new Order Emailer overwrites the original version, so, if you would like to keep the original around, be sure to rename it to a new filename BEFORE installing the new version.

V. ChaosHunter 2.1
Today we are releasing ChaosHunter 2.1. This release contains the following enhancements:
1. Time Flag Allows Creation of Trading Models During Specified Hours – The Time Flag option allows you to place a column in your data file that you may use to designate whether or not trading will take place during certain hours and/or conditions in an intraday model or certain days and/or conditions in a daily, weekly, or monthly model.
2. Date/Time Numbering on the X-Axis in a Graph – If the data file includes a column labeled “Date” that includes valid data, the graph will display specific dates (and times if available) when the completed model is either being optimized or applied to a data file.
3. Display Settings for Decimals – The File Menu, Display Settings selection lets you choose how you want to display decimal precision for formula constants, predicted values, and trading thresholds. The Standard setting computes up to 7 decimal places while the High setting computes up to 16 decimal places.
4. Help File Changes – The help file is reconfigured to include a new Chapter 6 on using ChaosHunter with other programs. This chapter includes previous topics on running ChaosHunter from your own program, Excel, and NeuroShell Trader. A new topic covers running ChaosHunter with TradeStation, while another concerns decimal precision when running ChaosHunter models in other programs. An additional topic shows you how to set up pair trading models that work with other programs. There are several other new topics as well including one on sports predictions.
ChaosHunter 2.1 is avaiable free to those who purchased ChaosHunter or upgraded to 2.0 on or after August 1, 2009. Older users of 2.0 may upgrade for only $95.
Users of ChaosHunter 1.x, which we are no longer supporting, may upgrade to 2.1 for $395.
