The control the complexity of the indicator wizard interface.
By selectively turning on only desired interface options, you can customize the interface to show only those indicator options and categories that you will use. With the majority of the interface options turned off, you have a simple and easy to understand interface for creating basic indicators. With the majority of the options turned on, you have an extensive interface for creating complex indicators.
To avoid being overwhelmed by the vast capabilities of the NeuroShell Trader, we recommended that new users start with all the options turned off. Once you become comfortable with the simple interface, slowly begin experimenting with the more advanced options.
To choose :
- Use the + and – to expand or collapse categories in the list.
- Click in the box to the left of the option text to select or deselect an option.
The following is a description of the indicator wizard interface options:
Move Category Buttons ‘ Controls whether the indicator category Move Up, Move Down, and Reset buttons are displayed on the category page of the indicator wizard. Use this option if you wish to rearrange the order of the indicator categories. For more information see Indicator Wizard – Selecting a Category.
Different Colors for Indicators ‘ Controls different indicators are added to the chart in different colors instead of all the same default indicator color of purple. Also when multiple indicators or multiple indicator parameters are chosen in the Indicator Wizard, each of the different indicators is added to the chart in a different color instead of all the same color.
Save/Modify Custom Indicators ‘ Controls whether the Save Indicator (or Modify Indicator) button is displayed on the parameter page of the indicator wizard. Use this option if you wish to create and modify custom indicators. For more information see Indicator Wizard – Choosing Parameters.
The options listed under visible categories control which indicator categories are displayed on the category page of the indicator wizard. For more information about which indicators are in which categories, select Indicators menu item from the Help menu.
- Options checked in black represent options whose default setting is on. Options checked in gray represent options that have been temporarily selected because the template or trading strategy being modified uses the option, but the option’s default setting is off. Options that are not selected represent options whose default setting is off.
