I. We STILL need your vote in the Stocks & Commodities Readers Choice Awards

Please don’t delay any longer!

The November issue of Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine was the issue that opened the voting for the Readers Choice Awards. We’re asking for your vote and would like to say that it’s for your benefit as well as ours. Prospective buyers use these ratings to make their decisions. When they purchase NeuroShell Trader because of your vote, that new revenue means FREE tech support for you and updated software. So please vote now. Here’s how:

Get your copy of Stocks & Commodities magazine and visit www.Traders.com. Look in the upper portion of the web site for the 2006 Readers’ Choice Awards and click on the Vote Now! link.

On the page that is displayed enter your subscriber ID from your magazine address label (look at their example to see which numbers on the label are the subscriber ID). After you are logged in, look for the Artificial Intelligence Software (Expert, Neural) category on page 3. Be sure to mark your ballot for NeuroShell Trader Professional (Ward Systems Group Inc.). While you are there you can also vote for our GeneHunter product as your second choice (after all GeneHunter is the optimizer in NeuroShell Trader Pro.)

Now please go to page 3 and look for the Standalone Analytical Software, in the $1000 and more category. Look for NeuroShell Trader there and vote.

Vote carefully. Once you’ve voted in a category and then return to that page, you’re not allowed to change your vote.

You have until December 31, 2005 to vote, but please do it now so you don’t forget. You can also win a prize. Contest rules state that 10 random voters will win “The Professional Traders’ Starter Kit”, a $495 value. Voting results will appear in the Bonus Issue, which is mailed in February 2006.

If you have any trouble voting, our technical support department will even help you with that!

II. IBasic Pro Holiday special

We aren’t associated in any way with the folks at www.pyxia.com. However, we’re impressed that they can sell a good BASIC compiler that you can use with NeuroShell Trader Professional for $49.99. But now they have a holiday special where you can buy it for either $29.99 or $24.99!!! We aren’t sure which is the correct price because both are on the site, but either way, you can’t afford NOT to buy it if you ever even had a random thought about programming complex indicators in NeuroShell Trader Pro. It’s pretty simple to use, and your friends here will provide some examples and help you figure out how to call your programs from NeuroShell Trader.

III. Editorial Commentary by Steve Ward, CEO

1. Your Lizard Brain. I’ve been reading a really good book by Terry Burnham called “Mean Markets and Lizard Brains”. I think it was under $20 in hardback on Amazon. I first picked up on this book because of an article I read in the October issue of Active Trader magazine. Basically, Terry explores how the non-cognitive part of your brain has not evolved enough to be able to comprehend modern markets. The result is that many of our actions in trading are controlled by this unconscious “lizard brain’, much to our detriment. Most traders have long known that their own emotions are their worst enemy, but this book tells us why and offers tips on how to control it. Terry seems to be more of an investor than a trader, but I suspect that if he were a trader, he’d subscribe to computerized models as a way to get the lizard brain out of the process. Anyway, it’s a really good read.

2. Get out the vote. This will be my final plea to get the vote out. The TASC vote described in article I above. Last year the competition in TASC seemed to be swallowed up by TradeStation and MetaStock. Our win in the artificial intelligence category was a lonely standout, but we really need to win again to keep the sales going. Please stop reading and vote for us now if you are a subscriber!

3. The Interactive Brokers data feed. Bowfort Technologies is now testing an intraday datafeed for NeuroShell DayTrader Professional that gets its data from the IB workstation! It can pick up as many as 6 months of historical intraday bars and feed them nicely into NSDTP (I’ve used it). The data is free if you have an IB trading account, with the addition of a small monthly fee for the datafeed interface from Bowfort Technologies (IBFeed). Another advantage is that you can analyze the same data you’re trading (removes the disparity between separate brokers and data providers).
