The NeuroShell Trader lets you scan large numbers of ticker symbols based on rules you define or a single value such as RSI.
To begin the scanning wizard, select Scan Ticker Symbols from the File Menu. Choose either a presaved scan template or a new scan. Since we don’t have any presaved scans, we’ll go with no template. Click next and select a time frame and how far back to load data for the scan’s calculations. For example, if you’re scanning for an RSI value that is calculated on 5 periods, you need to at least go back that many periods.
Following the wizard, we select the index category followed by specific indexes.
Now we have to add the basis for the scan. Click on the add values button, and you can select price data, indicators, or other instrument data. In this example, we’ll select the RSI indicator from the Price Momentum category. The summary screen displays the RSI values. Click on the checkmark beside the indexes of interest. They’ll be charted in the Trader.
