Options on the Tools Menu control how the NeuroShell Trader works. On the Trading Orders tab, click on the check boxes to play a sound or pop up a message when trading orders are generated. These actions only take place for active trading strategies. To activate a trading strategy, select the Alerts and Orders Window menu item from the View menu and mouse click in the check box beside the Trading Strategy.

On the Wizards tab, you can control the complexity of the trading strategy, prediction and indicator wizards. With the majority of the options turned off, you have a simple interface for creating basic trading strategies, predictions, and indicators. With the options turned on, you have an extensive interface for creating complex trading systems.

On the Charts tab, you can specify when to be notified when data changes might affect your chart. You can also choose to automatically save your chart.

On the Advanced tab, you can choose to display the prediction signal or the prediction data series itself. For example, if you display the prediction signal, the 2-day prediction for July 5th would be shown on July 3rd. If you display the prediction data series, the 2-day prediction for July 5th would be shown on July 5th. This is the option to choose if you want to see the predicted values out into the future. On the Dates interface section, check this box if you want the option of starting trading before the last chart date. This is useful in testing systems.

On the Points tab, you can set the point values for individual futures and Forex contracts.
