Chart page calculations can help you examine the overall performance of your portfolio. In this example we’ll use a chart that includes Advanced Micro Devices, Alcoa, Costco, Exxon Mobil, Intel and Verizon Communications.

We’ve created a Trading Strategy with the Long and Short Trading Strategy template. We’ll add the System Equity All Trades indicator from the Trading Strategy: System Information category. This indicator shows the equity for each individual stock, but what we want to know is how our basket of stocks is doing overall. That’s where the Chart Page Sum indicator comes in. We’ll insert this indicator from the Chart Page Calculations category. We’ll change the default value from close to the System Equity indicator. The resulting graph displays the summation of the profit for all of the stocks included in this chart.
