Has anyone put CH on the cloud and increased the number of cores dramatically ?
For example if you pick stop when 20,000 no change.
compared to using your home computer say at 8 cores , if you increased to 64 cores:
It won’t be 1/8 th of the time , but the CH ran ok? or is it better at 24 cores max?
I am looking at thread rippers for this kind of processing – I’ve used a VPS which wasnt too impressive.
I’ve been looking at the use of Ryzen’s and trying to figure out this question as well. Have you managed to find out or test this?
Sorry about the very late reply , for some reason I am not receiving any messages.
Well regards the cloud, it has become so expensive, cheaper to buy a new setup.
I am going the Ryzen Zen3 , see how that goes. Hoping to bring the compute time down to 3-4 hours from 14 hours. Going for the faster RAM.
Hope starting of next year with the increase in Cache , this will speed it up.
