Thanks Michael 🙂
I’ll look to see what parts of your suggestions I can add to my automation script to improve it, appreciate the response.

I am currently using the bowfort datafeed, and it lets you specify other sources to use, so I grabbed an account at Quandl (free) but they do offer premium, they have the VIX data which I then suck in. Just put the API into the config for Bowfort then it could pull the data down.

in reply to: Continuous futures and High LowHmm had not actually thought of that 🙂 was more intially thinking run in a local hyper-v, that being said I am super tempted to try it in a Azure hosted VM as I have the subscriptions to Azure. I am super curios about how well optimization would perform on cloud based vm’s 🙂
in reply to: Keeping track of your NeuroshellThe April newsletter sample chart is pretty awesome to be honest!
in reply to: Turning Points – Using this awesome Indicator addonWhen I used to auto trade I had a bare bones installation on a dedicated mini brick PC, with 2 ssd’s mirrored, only installed the OS, zero other software, disabled hibernation and anything that would put things into low power mode etc, removed everything from startup and disabled automatic software updates for windows (still patched, just did it manually once a month). Had wifi and cat5 ethernet, so if the ethernet failed it would fall back to wifi.
Never optimized on it, used another machine for that as had charts on a shared NAS drive etc
I’d monitor it by occasionaly logging in via remote desktop.
Been tempted to set it up again, but this time I’d probably go the virtual machine hyervisor route.
in reply to: Keeping track of your Neuroshell+1 on Turning Points, only just recently purchased it and still playing around with it, but I’ll be honest I am a complete NS newbie at the moment and still finding my way, but using peaks and valleys as a prediction is getting me some pretty nice results, well at least on paper anyway.
My other goto’s at the moment are the Bowfort zero lag indicators, smoothing is ultra good.
I am also super torn on moving from Professional to Power User, I have quite a lot of charts built out now, and not being able to batch optimize is driving me nuts 🙂 but not sure if upgrade price nuts just yet!
