Quicker access to Interactive Brokers

Mark Simpson of Bowfort Technologies has given us a tip that makes the Interactive Brokers Interface work more seamlessly, whether you are using Bowfort’s IBFeed or the NeuroShell IB trading feature.

Both IBfeed and NeuroShell require a connection to the IB Trader WorkStation (TWS). TWS pops up a request for you to validate the NeuroShell or IBFeed attempt to connect to it that says “Accept Incoming Connection Attempt?” to which you must answer “Yes”. To remove this annoying request, you can tell TWS to trust your IP address. In TWS go to the Configure menu -> API ->Trusted IP Addresses. There you will see a dialog where you can enter the “local machine” IP address 127.0.0.1.
