I. We need your vote in the Stocks & Commodities Readers Choice Awards

We’re not sure where summer went, but we just received our copy of the November issue of Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine. That’s the issue that opens the voting for the Readers Choice Awards. We’re asking for your vote and would like to say that it’s for your benefit as well as ours. Prospective buyers use these ratings to make their decisions. When they purchase NeuroShell Trader because of your vote, that new revenue means FREE tech support for you and updated software. So please vote now. Here’s how:

Get your copy of Stocks & Commodities magazine and visit www.Traders.com. Look in the upper portion of the web site for the 2006 Readers’ Choice Awards and click on the Vote Now! link.

On the page that is displayed enter your subscriber ID from your magazine address label (look at their example to see which numbers on the label are the subscriber ID). After you are logged in, look for the Artificial Intelligence Software (Expert, Neural) category on page 3. Be sure to mark your ballot for NeuroShell Trader Professional (Ward Systems Group Inc.). While you are there you can also vote for our GeneHunter product as your second choice (after all GeneHunter is the optimizer in NeuroShell Trader Pro.)

Now please go to page 2 and look for the Standalone Analytical Software, in the $1000 and more category. Look for NeuroShell Trader there and vote.

Vote carefully. Once you’ve voted in a category and then return to that page, you’re not allowed to change your vote.

You have until December 31, 2005 to vote, but please do it now so you don’t forget. You can also win a prize. Contest rules state that 10 random voters will win “The Professional Traders’ Starter Kit”, a $495 value. Voting results will appear in the Bonus Issue, which is mailed in February 2006.

If you have any trouble voting, our technical support department will even help you with that!

II. Fuzzy Japanese Candlesticks!

“Trade the gray, not black and white. Japanese Candlesticks and Patterns with the addition of fuzzy logic. Don’t let your candlesticks be binary, fuzzify them! ”

That is how Bowfort describes its new Fuzzy Japanese Candlestick add-on for NeuroShell Trader. Fuzzy Candlesticks have an additional parameter to each indicator called Fuzziness. Fuzziness allows you to fine control the amount of looseness in the definition you allow for the candlestick match. You can choose either more or less fuzziness than the default setting, and you can even switch off the fuzzy logic completely to make it behave like a regular candlestick if you wish.

IV. Commentary by Steve Ward, CEO

In this newsletter we have announced two major new add-ons for NeuroShell Trader, and we think they are significant.

Fuzzy candlesticks – what a great idea – we wish we had thought of it, because candlestick recognition is the single most requested reason people consider purchasing the Fuzzy Pattern Recognizer. For candlesticks, we think Bowfort’s indicators will work better since they were built specifically for candlesticks, and individual ones at that. Plus Mark Simpson of Bowfort has been working with NeuroShell for years, and probably knows our system as well as we do, maybe even better. We trust him to make great software.

Meyers analytics – Dennis Meyers is a frequent writer of articles in the trading magazines, and we are very happy to have him converting his software to run with NeuroShell. If you take a look at the descriptions of his systems, you will see that he is a very innovative and analytic thinker.

We are in fact working on one or more new add-ons ourselves, which will be announced in a later newsletter. All this leads some people to ask us, “Why do I have to purchase add-ons, why don’t you just include them in directly into NeuroShell?” The answer is two-fold:

Firstly, the NeuroShell Trader programmers are very busy putting very basic trading enhancements into release 5.0, things users have requested for years that are not necessarily advanced concepts. Meanwhile we have other programmers here, artificial intelligence programmers, who are using their know-how to implement new ideas for our own Ward Systems trading. These programmers have no access to the innards of NeuroShell Trader (too many cooks in the kitchen are dangerous), so they have to build their innovations as add-ons. Once we test out the add-ons in our own trading, why not make them available to you without diverting the mainline NeuroShell Trader programmers?

Of course the biggest reason is yes, we do make extra income selling add-ons, which probably generated the question to begin with. Often the question comes from somebody who may have purchased NeuroShell in 1997 or 98 and received our free upgrades and tech support ever since, so I am not apologetic when I say that those free upgrades and all that technical support you have been getting was not paid for by your purchase in 1997 or 1998. It is paid for by new purchasers, and purchasers of our add-ons.

That leads me to stress the importance of the first very important article in this newsletter, which describes how you can protect your investment and make sure we keep bringing you service without buying anything new. If you are a subscriber to Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine, please vote now. You’d be surprised how important those ratings are to new purchasers.

V. NeuroShell Trader Release 4.8

Release 4.8 fixes a number of bugs that were found in release 4.7, including a number of problems suffered by the Prophet.net interface. For a comprehensive list of bugs fixed, visit www.ward.net, where you may request a download link if you are already on a 4.x release (3.x and below users must upgrade by purchasing a new CD). However, if you request a 4.8 upgrade, please be prepared to wait several days, because we do not want to overload our server with a crush of requests all at the same time. If you have no problems with 4.7, you may want to delay changing until release 5.0 or until you experience problems.
